I made these cornflake chocolate bites for school cake selling but they taste awful - look awful too, I know. I used left over 90% dark chocolate, I love strong dark chocolate but it simply didn't work at all for this recipe. I don't think I can sell them at school. Damn, what am I gonna do ?

10 september 2011 - naama bay

I like a lot of things about
Sharm el Sheikh but shopping in Naama Bay isn't one of them, because there is no such thing as a price tag you have to negotiate to buy anything. I'm not there to do market trading, I really can't be bothered to go through that procedure every single time I buy things, it's intimidating it's an off-putting. They need to stop that approach immediately so I can happily shop. Funny enough I was watching Mary Portas Secret Shopper on the flight back home, that's what Naama Bay needs.

01 september 2010 - sharm el sheikh

I've just holidayed in Sharm el Sheikh. The highlight was, I did absolutely nothing apart from eating, drinking, smoking, laying on the beach or sleeping. I totally switched off from all the hustle and bustle at home. You really do need to come this far to drop everyday's everything. I did a bit of glass boat trip and water park to entertain the kids but that was all. I also enjoyed that intensive Egyptian heat. This summer in the UK the weather was very shambolic indeed it was good to have all the sun to yourself for a week. The lowlight was this, we nearly missed the flight which was ridiculous as we arrived Gatwick at least three hours before departure. How the hell did that happen ? well we were drinking a bit too much at the airport cafe. When we got to the gate it was about 15 minutes before take-off, the aeroplane door had to be re-opened and all oh that was so embarrassing.
